ASSIGNED VIN/SERIAL NUMBER PROGRAM

Every vehicle or trailer that is registered in Alberta must have a serial number. When registering a vehicle, you must be able to provide a valid serial number to the registry agents. If you do not have a valid serial number you must undergo the Assigned VIN program which is administered by the Insurance Bureau of Canada. You will need to come into the registry and obtain the request form. Once you have the request form, you simply follow the instructions on the first page.
